Kheng-Li Wee: In The Valley Is Silence
An exhibition of 24 archival digital prints of the true side of Japan, by Singapore photographer Kheng-Li Wee.
Fascinated by the memory and dwelling as manifested in architecture and urban spaces, Wee navigates through ancient, narrow, old or dense streets and neighborhoods. He uses photography as a process of seeing and recording, and at the same time, he seeks to pose philosophical and existential questions regarding the possibilities of visual art beyond the limits of conceptual language. His works allow viewers to glance into the intimate stories and traces of intimate everyday behavior.
